Bush to Observe a Moment of Silence on 7th Anniversary of 9/11

11 Sep

George W Bush is to observe a moment of silence in recognition of the 7th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies.

Hey! Isn’t that what he did in 2001, also?

I Shall Name you the “George W. Bush Sewage Treatment Plant"

27 Jun

Here’s a small quote from the article, I suggest reading it in all it’s glory.

“Reagan has his highways. Lincoln has his memorial. Washington has the capital, and a state, too. But President George W. Bush may soon be the sole president to have a memorial named after him that you can contribute to from the bathroom.”

Yes, for now it is called the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant, a sewage plant in San Francisco. Renaming it the “George W. Bush Sewage Treatment Plant” may be put to vote this fall. My thoughts are that the poor sewage treatment plant just doesn’t deserve to take a blow to the ego like this.

Maybe at the name-changing ceremony there will be a 21 flush salute. Wouldn’t that be fitting, and oddly cathartic.
