So, now we’re bragging about our complete indifference to the health of our planet.
George Dubya is now apparently gloating about his failure to curb global warming. At the G8 Summit in Toyako, Bush ended a private meeting with this witty one-liner:
“Goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter.”
And according to Rolling Stone, with Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy onlooking, Bush then punched the air while grinning widely. Kinda like in Rocky. The only thing missing from the moment was Karl Rove in the background humming “Eye of the Tiger” for him. Karl Rove couldn’t be there because he was too busy not showing up for his congressional hearing.
BTW: China was recently declared the world’s biggest polluter. Bush can’t even get the bad news right.
